Look no further...there will always be a demand for carers to look after people in their own homes.
*if you can't meet all our criteria, you may still qualify for our mid rates of £13.00 - £13.75/hr. We can explain when we talk.
What experience and qualifications do I need? You don't need any care qualifications or previous experience. All you do need is the qualities of kindness, compassion and thoughtfulness; and a passion to make a positive difference in people's lives. You must also be reliable, someone your colleagues & clients can depend on.
It’s a great start that one of our team thought you could fit the bill!
Care is about getting to know clients in their own homes, their likes/dislikes, engaging in their past life & experiences and from this knowledge developing a rapport - so you'll notice small changes and can adapt support. Care is so varied it can be lending a helping hand, whether that's within their home or to get out for a walk, shopping etc; helping with personal care such as showering and dressing; assisting with eating and drinking; and with medication; sometimes its just chatting over a cuppa.
Helping several clients a day is hard work – but knowing you’ve made a real difference in someone’s life makes it all worth-while 😄.
'I know I'm making a difference in [clients] lives and it is the most rewarding feeling in the world'.
'I wish I'd moved [from hospitality] earlier. Every day is different and I now feel I’m part of a team.'
